ICML 2022 received 5630 submissions. Among these, 1117 were accepted for a short presentation, and 118 for a long presentation. The review process included two phases, and we strived to achieve a decision process that was as fair and thorough as possible. The decisions were deliberated by meta reviewers and in reviewer discussions, by senior meta reviewers and program chairs, with various checks at multiple levels along the way. In difficult cases, additional evaluations were solicited.
